Sept 18, 2001 - St0rmCat has updated www.tetrinet2.com. Go there to see what changes are being made on the game. ~Kent Sept 17, 2001 - St0rmCat announced that a master server will be available for TetriNET 2, like a battle.net service. But for people who want to start their own servers, he will release a server client as well to keep everyone happy.  Also, St0rmCat is looking for someone who can host the master server, more info here. ~Kent Sept 16, 2001 - Check out www.tetrinet2.com. And there is a little message from St0rmCat at the official Tnet2 forums. ~Kent Sept 11, 2001 - Other than the sad fact that US soil has been in one of it's worst terrorist attacks today, I bring you another link: Free Stuff Connection. ~Kent Sept 7, 2001 - Added another TetriNET server: tetrinet.minefields.net ~Kent Aug 29, 2001 - Added a TetriNET server written in Perl. It works under Windows/Unix/etc. and supports both TetriNET and TetriFast. ~Kent Aug 24, 2001 - Please sign this petition: 'Bring back TetriNET 2!!!'. I will send this to St0rmCat when enough people have signed. ~Kent Aug 19, 2001 - Added a proxy program for TetriNET; made by Jonathan Liu. For those who don't know what it does, click here. ~Kent Aug 14, 2001 - If I haven't already posted this already, here is The Guide to Busting TetriNET Cheaters. ~Kent Aug 13, 2001 - So Im back now. There will be an update later on either today or tomorrow. But just a reminder, use http://tetrinet.emugaming.com to access this website, since http://www.planettetrinet.com doesn't work anymore. ~Kent Aug 3, 2001 - Im leaving tomorrow morning for a vacation in BC, and I won't be back for about 9-10 days. So during this time, there won't be any new updates to this site. Until I do get back, enjoy whatever is already here :). ~Kent July 31, 2001 - Added a server called tnet.mine.nu. It supports regular TetriNET 1 and TetriFast, but only in certain channels. ~Kent July 25, 2001 - The planettetrinet.com domain has been under the free service, namezero.com. But unfortunately, there is a chance it will be expired pretty soon. So to avoid redirection to another page, use tetrinet.emugaming.com, thanks. ~Kent  July 19, 2001 - Check out this Tetrinet 1 server: tetrinet.darkmyst.org ~Kent July 16, 2001 - TetriCom has been updated to version 0.3 beta. New features include TetriFast mode and a second rotate key. ~Kent July 12, 2001 - Don't worry, Im still here. There is just a lot more to do other than computers during the summer. Which explains why there hasn't been an update for a while now. Hang tight, I will try to get everything up to speed. ~Kent June 28, 2001 - Added TetriCom. Lets you play TetriNET against a computer opponent. Just unzip the contents into your TetriNET folder to play. ~Kent June 14, 2001 - Added TetriNET 1.13 Dutch for download. This is for all you Dutch speaking people, or those who don't understand it and just feel like being confused :). ~Kent June 7, 2001 - Dionysis has been working on a version of TetriNET that lets you play against a computer opponent. It is called TetriCom but isn't available for download yet, click here to visit the site and see the progress so far on the program. ~Kent June 2, 2001 - Added a link to a Dutch Tnet website, tetrinet.be. ~Kent May 30, 2001 - Added downstack.com to the links page, probably the most active TetriFast server there is. ~Kent May 23, 2001 - Another theme, called Spaz has joined the collective. ~Kent May 19, 2001 - 2 themes were added to the TetriNET 1 theme section. One called 'Easy', the other called 'Square'. Both were made by the same person, and looked almost the same. So both got the same description. ~Kent May 11, 2001 - Ok, it seems like every time I post something about the Tnet 2 server being up, it goes down the next day. My posts are like a jinx or something. But this time, it seems like it is up for while. It has already been up for the past 4-5 days and has stayed up since then. There are 8 rooms to play in, and they're never full. Join in, have fun, get addicted, and never see natural sunlight again :). ~Kent May 2, 2001 - Read here for some news that actually came from St0rmCat himself. ~Kent May 1, 2001 - The April poll has ended, here to see the results. ~Kent April 23, 2001 - It was reported that the TetriNET 2 server has been going on and off throughout yesturday and today. The last time I checked, it was online. Go play before it goes back down again. ~Kent April 17, 2001 - Dragonball theme for Tnet 1 is available for download. ~Kent April 15, 2001 - The Java TetriNET server has been updated to version 0.5.11. This new build has fixed various small bugs. ~Kent April 11, 2001 - Not much going on. Maybe because Ive been having a lot of homework and haven't noticed anything new. Feel free to send anything that isn't already on this site. ~Kent April 1, 2001 - The March poll has ended, here to see the results. April's poll 'Your favorite game genre is:', visit the message board to submit your vote. ~Kent Mar 26, 2001 - Do you like this website? Click on the 'Top 100 Game Sites' banner, it would be very much appreciated. ~Kent Mar 24, 2001 - Added a link to tetrifast.net.   Added a download for the Java TetriNET 1 server. Coded in Java, and should work in Windows and Linux. ~Kent Mar 15, 2001 - TetriNET 2 server is back up. ~Kent Mar 14, 2001 - [GiB]Dessimat0r[UKR] has a new Midi for you guys to listen to, called No Will Power. Its very good, and totally fits the TetriNET theme. ~Kent Mar 6, 2001 - I won't be able to respond to email for the next week, as I'm still trying to get it to work. ~Kent Mar 4, 2001 - St0rmCat is planning to release the Tetrinet 2 server around June. So don't get too excited just yet. ~Kent Mar 1, 2001 - There is a new poll over at the message board: "You played TetriNET since?" ~Kent Feb 28, 2001 - psiblade.net has been added to the list of TetriNET 1 servers. ~Kent Feb 23, 2001 - The TetriNET 2 server is finally back up!!! Play it while its still up, or you'll regret it. (tetrinet2.darktech.org) ~Kent Feb 22, 2001 - Another TetriNET 1 server: muttok.likt.net Also, I recently checked my hits counter and the top 3 downloads are: TetriNET 2 build 125, TetriNET 1.13, and my TetriNET 1 pack. ~Kent Feb 15, 2001 - Added another TetriNET 1 server: fortress.shellpower.net ~Kent Feb 8, 2001 - Added a link to tetrinet.de; a German site, and their server, server.tetrinet.de. ~Kent Feb 4, 2001 - I cleaned out the dead links and servers from the links section, and added a new TetriNET 1 server to the list: rocketblast.net Also, be sure to do my poll on the message board: What next-gen system looks most promising? ~Kent Jan 25, 2001 - BlueX 2 theme for Tnet1 has been added. Its a blue version of the original TetriNET playing field. ~Kent Jan 24, 2001 - Fury Colorizer has been updated once again, its a minor bug fix. Also, TetriNET 2 for Dummies link has been added. ~Kent Jan 23, 2001 - Are you a MIDI composer? Enter this competition to see how you rank against others. Remember, these have to be original pieces of work. Source: Emugaming mainsite. ~Kent Jan 21, 2001 - I finally finished a strategy section for TetriNET 2. This could change over time, since the game is still being updated. ~Kent Jan 20, 2001 - I updated the screenshots for TetriNET 2 to the current version of the game. ~Kent Jan 17, 2001 - The Fury Colorizer was updated to version 2.2 from 2.1, it fixes some small bugs. ~Kent Jan 15, 2001 - I changed the message board once again, this time its hosted by gamers.com. So sorry for the inconvience. But you will expect a faster load and easier forum to use now. ~Kent Jan 14, 2001 - The Fury Colorizer is another text coloring program, and can now be downloaded in the Tnet1 files section. ~Kent Jan 7, 2001 - The TetriNET 2 server, which was down for a day or two yesturday is back up now. ~Kent Jan 7, 2001 - Galaxy theme for TetriNET 1.13 is added. ~Kent Jan 5, 2001 - The counter started on November 13, 2000. Today is January 5, 2001 and the counter has surpassed the 10000 mark. Quite impressive, almost 2 months. Thanks to everyone who visited Planet TetriNET during this time, and I hope you guys will continue to support this amazing game. ~Kent Jan 3, 2001 - Build 125 of TetriNET 2 is out, grab it here. Also, the info on TetriNET 2 is updated. ~Kent Jan 2, 2001 - TetriNET 2 is back up, and the latest build allows you to connect to other servers. A built in server will be included into later versions, but for now connect to tetrinet2.darktech.org. TetriNET 2 build 124 is available here. ~Kent Dec 22, 2000 - Added a link to TetriNET net. I will add a new theme pretty soon, but Im feeling lazy right now. ~Kent Dec 19, 2000 - Here is the message posted up on top at the Official TetriNET 2 message board: "TetriNET 2 will still come out, but probably not in the form when you guys last played it. (You can make your own servers) No, St0rmCat isn't dead just yet." This better not be a joke, we've been tortured enough just waiting for the game to come out. ~Kent Dec 14, 2000 - On our greatest efforts to bring back TetriNET 2 (since no one knows what happened to St0rmCat and his game), I think we should all visit the official TetriNET 2 message board once in a while. But we don't have to talk about TetriNET, anything you want. I'm just hoping that St0rmCat actually still checks out the place and can see that there is quite a large fan base waiting for the sequel to the game we all love so much. ~Kent Nov 28, 2000 - Added the link to Klan Zonder Naam (KZN), Dutch for 'Clan without a name'. The site is in English. ~Kent  Nov 27, 2000 - I'm back from my 3 week slacking off, since there's finally something to update here. I added Grynold's Mega Theme v1.3. ~Kent Nov 8, 2000 - If you absolutely have no clue on how to play Tetris, or just wanna hone your skills, visit Learn Tetris. Another link that has been added to the links section, as well as the strategy section. ~Kent  Nov 5, 2000 - I added a link to the Tetris Lovers website. It is a great site that covers the official Tetris games as well as Tetris clones. ~Kent Nov 1, 2000 - TetriNET has passed the 50 000 downloads mark at www.download.com. Pretty amazing to see how such a small and simple game can get so popular. If you still haven't tried the game, grab it now in the files section. ~Kent Oct 22, 2000 - This site has been extremely slow, since there is really nothing going on and TetriNET 2 is still down. Anyways, a new website has joined the TetriNET discussion community, making the site count to....2, including Planet TetriNET. I guess its a step closer to building a stronger community. Its called SOAS, more of a personal site than a Tnet site, check it out if you like. ~Kent Oct 5, 2000 - I added 2 links to some other strategies on the Strategy section. Also, 2 themes were added to the Tnet1 files, Stardust and sL-Pro Extreme v2.0. ~Kent Oh yeah almost forgot, I also put the link to the Plibble clan website. ~Kent Sept 27, 2000 - Ahh, nothing new has been going on. But today I did try to log onto Tnet2, and the data transfer from my modem was more frequent than usual. My guess is that the server might of been on sometime during the day. So it is a hint that maybe Tnet2 isn't dead after all. On a side note, those who own TetriNET related websites should join my forums. This is good so everyone uses the same message board and the community wouldn't be as separated. ~Kent Sept 14, 2000 - Sorry for the lack of updates. I just have too much homework now. Anyways, many of you probably think St0rmCat is dead since TetriNET 2 has been down for over a month now. I'm sure hes not since you can still /finger him on IRC. I don't know the answers to why the game server is down. But until it comes back up, enjoy some good ol classic TetriNET 1. ~Kent Sept 1, 2000 - The official site for the server, games.ping.be was added to the links section. ~Kent Aug 29, 2000 - I marked a few select Tnet1 themes with cute little happy faces. This means it is Kent-approved (and usually downloaded more than any other theme) and is worth checking out. ~Kent Aug 23, 2000 - So you might be asking why you couldn't log onto the Tnet2 server the past couple of weeks. Well my guess is that the server is down. Don't bother emailing me about this topic, since I'm not even working on the game. Don't even bother emailing St0rmCat about this, because he's probably busy working on the game.....right? ;) ~Kent Aug 18, 2000 - I added 2 text files to the TetriNET 2 About section. It is info on the theme editor and the list of version updates. ~Kent Aug 15, 2000 - You can now visit Planet TetriNET through www.planettetrinet.com. Use it if you don't mind the huge NameZero banner on the bottom of the screen. Also, I'm now offering subdomains to TetriNET webmasters. You would get yourname.planettetrinet.com. I will be selective on what websites can get the subdomain, just email me with your URL. ~Kent Aug 14, 2000 - A new league has been added to the links section. This one is called Team TetriNET League. ~Kent Aug. 9, 2000 - Congrats to Emugaming, and the people who run the network on their birthday. They turned a year old yesturday. ~Kent Aug. 4, 2000 - I'm back from vacation and my new computer is all setup, so now I can finally do some updating. First of all, a Duke Nukem 3D theme has been added for TetriNET 1. A new Tnet1 server has been added to the links listing (tetrinet.the-limit.net). Finally, TetriNET 2 was patched up (I actually have no idea when this happened since I was gone), get the update at http://tetrinet2.darkgod.net. ~Kent Jul. 5, 2000 - I'm working 12-hour shifts for about 15 days straight at the moment, so I don't really have time to make big updates. Its the summer time, so I shouldn't really be staying inside the house all the time either. ~Kent Jun. 27, 2000 - For those who don't have IRC to download TetriNET 2 can now download off the web, here. ~Kent Jun. 22, 2000 - At the moment, St0rmCat isn't accepting anymore TetriNET 2 accounts until the next version. ~Kent Jun. 21, 2000 - Screenshots section for TetriNET 2 is now finished. They're updated screenshots that I took from the current version. ~Kent Jun. 18, 2000 - I changed the website for upcoming TetriNET 2 stuff, but don't check it out because there is nothing there to see. This website is about to get a whole lot bigger as more people start to move to the new game. Also, I changed the 'blahs' and added a link to the Unofficial TetriNET 2 website. ~Kent Jun. 17, 2000 - St0rmCat has requested that the current version of TetriNET be not uploaded to website servers for download. It is because the game is being updated on a regular basis and versions can become obsolete in short periods of time. ~Kent Jun. 16, 2000 - Yes! The latest build of TetriNET 2 is out, and it is released to the public. Just join the #tetrinet2 channel on efnet IRC to grab all the goodness we've all been waiting for =). You won't have to e-mail St0rmCat anymore for username registration, the sign-up is built into the program. Probably expect a small preview of the game on this site when I get my computer totally fixed. ~Kent Jun. 14, 2000 - Expect no updates for a while. My computer is totally messed up right now, and nothing can be done until it is stable. Plus final exams are coming up next week, so I have to study. I mean, you want me to pass right? =P ~Kent Jun. 10, 2000 - I decided to have 3 different banners for this site. A different one for each page. Mainly because I don't know which one to use permanently, and might as well use all 3. ~Kent Jun. 6, 2000 - I should of told you guys a long time ago. For those of you who keep trying the '/finger tetrinet.darktech.org' thing in IRC: it doesn't work. You should use '/finger st0rmcat'. And to the people who have no idea what Im talking about, read the Blahs section at the bottom of this page. ~Kent Jun. 4, 2000 - Added the Harmony theme. ~Kent May. 31, 2000 - Added the TetriNET Name Configuration program to the gamefiles. Haven't tried it yet, but I think its the same as the Text Colorer but more sophisticated. ~Kent May. 30, 2000 - Planet TetriNET reached the 5000 hit mark today. Not bad considering this site has only been up since March 6. ~Kent May. 30, 2000 - A added mlqsnet.com and terranigma.org to the Tnet server listing. ~Kent May. 29, 2000 - I changed my message board.  Sorry for any inconvience.  But it is 10 million times better (give or take a couple mil).  Hope you like it. ~Kent May. 28, 2000 - I just found out another feature to TetriNET 2.  A ranking system will be implemented, which is why the central server is needed.  Sounds like tetrinet.org's point system, but will hopefully be more sophisticated.  And the release date for the game?  The same answer as almost every other developer in the industry: 'When its done.' ~Kent May. 27, 2000 - A message board has been added to the website.  There, you can talk about Tnet stuff. ~Kent May. 20, 2000 - I recently found an older version of TetriNET, version 1.0, antique stuff my friend.  Compared to the current version, 1.13, its pretty bad.   Be glad that we don't have to use the older one... ~Kent May. 12, 2000 - TetriFast can be downloaded now in the game files section.  It is a modified version of TetriNET that decreases the delay time between block drops.  Visit their website before using the program. ~Kent May. 6, 2000 - Joxer's site URL was updated, and joeyboo.com's website was added to the links section. ~Kent Apr. 29, 2000 - Added the 'TetriNET at AUNET' link into the community section.  Finally, 2 themes have been added, Ping and P@ntera. ~Kent Apr. 23, 2000 - Nothing new in the TetriNET world at the moment.  I'm trying to dig up some good Tnet files around the net that I don't already have.  But its hard because 95% of all the Tnet sites on the WWW haven't been updated for months, even years.  If you have any good ones, send em by email.  Finally, I added some Tnet related IRC channels to the community section. ~Kent Apr. 17, 2000 - The Steel theme has been added. ~Kent Apr. 13, 2000 - I was a bit impatient, so I emailed St0rmCat to find out if there was a release date on TetriNET2, here is what he said:  "Sorry, no date. Big things are still happening to it, so there's no way I could predict. As soon as it's stable and there's a simple web page up to sign up, people will be able to download.. I'm not waiting for the 'perfect time' or anything, there's just a lot left to do :)". ~Kent Apr. 10, 2000 - I added a button to St0rmCat's email to every section of this site.  Now you can talk to the developer himself. ~Kent Apr. 9, 2000 - A lot of people have been emailing me about how good my game is.  Well, I didn't make TetriNET, St0rmCat did.  Email him, he should know more about TetriNET then me, I mean he did develop it.  ~Kent Apr. 5, 2000 - I updated the TetriNET server list in the Community section. ~Kent Apr. 1, 2000 - Here is a bit of info on how the username login will work in TetriNET 2, it is quoted from St0rmCat at his message board:  "If you get disconnected some how, there's an idle timeout so your nickname will log off automatically within like 30 seconds or however I want to set it." ~Kent Mar. 28, 2000 - Nothing new concerning TetriNET 2.  Nothing big over at St0rmCat's message board, and no new updates have been made on his open beta news from IRC.  Sniff...sniff... In the meantime check out AllAdvantage, a program that pays you to surf the web, you will even get money for your referrals that surf. Finally, my 'Blahs...' have been updated. ~Kent Mar. 22, 2000 - Hope you like the new banner.  Feel free to send comments by e-mail, if people don't like it I can change it back.  (See the old banner here).   If I have the time, I can even redo the sidebar during spring break. ~Kent Mar. 19, 2000 - My Half Life theme has been updated.  All I did was just touch up the playing field image, it looks a bit better now. ~Kent Mar. 16, 2000 - Here is a recap of some of the new features that are to be added in TetriNET 2:      - Theme editor      - Win by lines; game will end when someone reaches a certain line count.      - Sacrifice key; the inventory is scrambled, but one special block is removed.      - Piece shadow; shows a shadow at the top of the stack.  So it is easier to see where it will fall.      - One central server; logging in with a username and password.      - New specials. ~Kent Mar. 14, 2000 - Oh boy, where have I been for the past 2 months?  Obviously not surfing the internet enough lately.  TetriNET 2 open beta test has been going on since January, and I didn't know until now.  But at the moment, St0rmCat will not take in any requests for account sign-up because some bugs need to be fixed.  The link to download the game has also been closed until bugs are patched up.  Updated news on the beta test can be grabbed in your IRC client by typing "/finger tetrinet.darktech.org", ignore the quotation marks.  For those who don't feel like using IRC, I can keep you posted here at this site. ~Kent Mar. 12, 2000 - Screenshots of the current version of TetriNET were updated. ~Kent Mar. 7, 2000 - Put a little tidbit under the Blahs... section, just to introduce this website to newcomers.   People who want to know more about the game TetriNET, or don't even know what Tetris is (!), then check out the About sections. ~Kent Mar. 6, 2000 - Minor changes have been made, such as the addition of the archived news seen at the bottom of the page, and separating the themes section into two parts A-M and N-Z.  Finally, remember to change the URL of your links to this site to http://tetrinet.emugaming.com  ~Kent Mar. 4, 2000 - HiVisTet theme has been added to the themes section. ~Kent Feb. 24, 2000 - A self-extracting version of TetriNET 1.13 (current version) is available in the 'Game Files' section. Nothing else for today, except that the tetrinet.net domain has just been sold. ~Kent Feb. 21, 2000 - Added the Zelda 64 theme. ~Kent Feb. 16, 2000 - I put this little section at the bottom of this main page called 'Blahs...' for whatever I feel like talking about.  This had to be THE biggest update to this site yet!! =)    ~Kent Feb. 8, 2000 - Cyrion and X-Files themes were added. ~Kent Feb. 6, 2000 - tetrinet.net crashed on the weekend and the webmaster is now trying to rebuild the website.  He also decided to auction off the domain name to the highest bidder at ebay. ~Kent Feb. 2, 2000 - For the beginners who have never played, I have updated 'The Game' section.  That section now includes a small tutorial so you can know the basics of the game. ~Kent Jan. 30, 2000 - There has been another redesign over at tetrinet.net.   It looks a lot better now. ~Kent Jan. 26, 2000 - Pics from TetriNET 2 have been added to the Screenshots section.  Note that the game can change over time, so the pics won't exactly be like what the final version will end up as. Here is a list of what to expect in TetriNET 2:      - One permanent server where people log into, with pass and usernames.  Kinda like a TEN or GameSpy interface.      - Animation.      - Cheating was fixed.      - Laggy control fixed.      - New specials.      - New theme format which is all held in one file.  Separate theme editor will be available. ~Kent
