St0rmCat's official updates can be read first at www.tetrinet2.com
The official forum for TetriNET 2 is right here

July 20, 2002 - There will no longer be anymore updates to this website.  With a busy schedule approaching for university and the desire to work on new projects, I do not think I can still find the time to maintain the site any longer.  I can say that this website was a success.  Over 50 mb of TetriNET related files are hosted on this website.  About 150000 unique hits have been made since Nov 13, 2000, with an average of 1400 hits per week.  Pretty impressive for a game with such a small community.  Thanks to everyone who has submitted TetriNET files and supported this website.  Big thanks for the people and the community who have kept this game alive.  Finally, huge thanks to St0rmCat, for making one of the most addictive little games ever created.  I will leave this website on the net for everyone to use, but there will not be any new material.  Visit TetriNET for n00bs for newer TetriNET 2 files.  For anyone interested in using my content for a new TetriNET website they are making, or even continuing this website, contact me through email.  Whenever I have time, I'll make sure I stop by the server for a quick game of TetriNET 2.  Cya guys later. ~Kent
July 5, 2002 - Alright I added a zip file to the TetriNET 2 misc. files bin.  The file contains music to the game, in MOD format.  I will try to post up 9 TetriNET 2 themes by the end of the month. ~Kent
June 20, 2002 - Sorry for not being around, I'm still in the middle of finished diploma exams so I do not have the time to do any updating.  I will eventually put up one new theme and some TetriNET 2 music which was submitted to me.  Just stay tight. ~Kent
May 27, 2002 - No real updates as of late.  But the server is still up at the moment.  Just note that it can come down anytime.  The master server was moved to another location, so downtime shouldn't be as bad as before. ~Kent
May 2, 2002 - TetriNET 2 server is back up!  Also, from what I hear, the registration code finally works.  So new users still waiting to sign up can finally play.  Grab TetriNET 2 build 136 now! ~Kent
Apr 29, 2002 - Added 2 TetriNET 1.13 themes, Xizzzu and Z, both created by Gigolo. ~Kent
Apr 23, 2002 - Rebel INS posted a message on the TetriNET 2 message board, saying that he will be running the master server now, since St0rmCat is very busy as of late.  So yes, the server is coming back, we can finally play again.  No exact date has been mentioned on when the server will be up, but at least we know if the game is still alive. ~Kent
Apr 11, 2002 - Arg, no updates for the second post in a row!  I really hate doing this, but it could not be avoided because there has been no new developments in TetriNET 1 or 2.  There was a person who sent me a TetriNET 1 theme, but my email was messed so I couldn't write back.  If you read this, please title your theme so I can file it on the website.  Also, please send the file again.  Sorry about that. ~Kent
Mar 12, 2002 - Sorry for lack of recent updates.  There hasn't been much going on.  While the server for TetriNET 2 build 136 is still up, the registration for new users is still buggy.  In build 136, you are supposed to register for an account.  But the server has to send you a verification number by email before you can play.  For the past month, there has been problems with sending verification numbers to new people.  Therefore, no one has been able to sign up to play. ~Kent
Feb 18, 2002 - Added a link to TFast - A site that seeks to document anything and everything about the popular games TetriNET and TetriFast.  Not a lot of updates, and Olympics are going on so I'm busy watching TV. ~Kent
Feb 4, 2002 - Added the TetriNET 1 version of TetriNET in Space theme. ~Kent
Jan 27, 2002 - One more exam to go.  But I thought I would spend some time updating this site with the addition of the download of TetriNET 1.13 translated to Spanish. ~Kent
Jan 20, 2002 - Studying for final exams.  Won't be updating for a while. ~Kent
Jan 12, 2002 - Posted PsychoMage's Triple Theme.  Its three of his themes packed into a single .tnp file.  Frostbite, TetriNET in Space and Master Plan.  I like Master Plan, extremely unique and nice to look at. ~Kent
Jan 5, 2002 - I posted a download to the latest version of TetriNET 2; build 136.  The server seems to be up too, so you guys could play once again.  If there is any problem St0rm, I will take off the download. ~Kent
Dec 28, 2001 - Here is the latest news by St0rmCat from www.tetrinet2.com.

"The master server will be DOWN until further notice.  The machine the master server is hosted on over at DE-Network is being changed from Windows XP to FreeBSD.  Since the master server is a Windows server, this is bad news for TetriNET2.  I will be working to port the current code over to Unix, and then DE-Network will host the server again.  In the mean time, I hope to find a temporary home for the current Windows master server, but I can't promise anything..."

Read the rest of the news at the official website. ~Kent
Dec 24, 2001 - Added the TetriNET 2 theme Hardcore Junglism.  Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy the rest of the holiday season. ~Kent
Dec 22, 2001 - The TetriNET 2 version of the Frostbite theme is now available. ~Kent
Dec 17, 2001 - Added the Frostbite theme for TetriNET 1. ~Kent
Dec 12, 2001 - St0rmCat got a job, so the master server won't be up as much as it used to.  As for this website, sorry for the lack and quality of updates lately.  I'm having less and less time to work on the site, due to the senior year of high school.  So, I'm still debating on whether I should pass down the site to someone else, or continue on with the way it is. ~Kent
Dec 6, 2001 - Here is an email that was sent to me today, really interesting:

Hello,
I'm sending you this email because I think it's time that Tetrinet players from all across the globe
show the world that Tetrinet is alive and becoming a very intense cybersport.
My goal is to make Tetrinet one of the disciplines of the World Cyber Games
(www.worldcybergames.org) , who are held every year in Seoul (Korea). I've come to the conclusion
that a petition is the best way to do this.
That's why I need your help.
It's important that every Tetrinet player who cares about it knows what we are trying to do.
In a short period of time, an adequate website will be set up where you can sign the petition
If you think this is a good idea, reply to this mail so I know you will support me when the site is
done.
I hope to see you in Korea in a few years,

Bram Luyten aka [F6]Ares

Belgium

I will be talking more to Bram, as it seems like the best step forward for TetriNET.  The game just needs more exposure to the net.  But yeah, TetriNET does seem like an excellent game to be played at the World Cyber Games, eh? ~Kent
Nov 25, 2001 - Added a new version of TetriCom.  A program for TetriNET 1 that lets you play against the computer.  The latest update finally includes power ups and more added features. ~Kent
Nov 18, 2001 - www.tetrinet2.com has a massive news post on what could happen in the future of the game, including bug fixes and other updates. ~Kent
Nov 16, 2001 - No new updates.  But people logged onto the Tnet2 server now is at an all time high.  I'm glad the game is getting more exposure.  To support the development of TetriNET 2 please send a PayPal donation to donations@tetrinet2.com.  This donation is sent to St0rmCat (developer of the game), not me. ~Kent
Nov 3, 2001 - Added 3 TetriNET 2 themes.  Note that in TetriNET themes, the only thing allowed to change were the playing field images, sound effects and midi music.  TetriNET 2 themes are a bit more flexible.  The normal stuff from TetriNET 1 are still skinnable, but now the menu interface and all the other buttons on the menu are skinnable as well. ~Kent
Oct 30, 2001 - If you haven't yet, please vote for TetriNET 2!  Also, expect some more TetriNET 2 themes to be added within the next week. ~Kent
Oct 24, 2001 - SamOwnz is setting up a tourney this weekend, either on this Friday night or Saturday.  More details at his email, or find him in TetriNET 2. ~Kent
Oct 23, 2001 - The very first TetriNET 2 theme has been posted!  It is called Intoxicated, and it contains a new bitmap and 3 music tracks for listen.  Check it out. ~Kent
Oct 18, 2001 - TetriNET 2 has been submitted to MPOGD (multiplayer online games directory) as a beta game.  Go there and vote for TetriNET 2 to be game of the month!  Also, the server has been upgraded to a dual CPU rig with Windows XP installed.  Expect some better latency when you play. ~Kent

Oct 12, 2001 - There is a mega huge list of fixes and new features for the upcoming build of TetriNET 2: 134.  Visit www.tetrinet2.com and read more on the goodness. ~Kent
Oct 10, 2001 - Ok, everything is done except for a few sections in the TetriNET 2 site.  If you see any dead links around, email me.  Any files you wanna submit, email at the same address.  There aren't any major new updates to the new site, but stuff should be on its way. ~Kent
Oct 5, 2001 - The new build for TetriNET 2 is available for public download!  Get it here. ~Kent
Sept 27, 2001 - Check out the TetriNET 2 boards for discussion on the game.  Also, I won't be updating too much because I will be working on the TetriNET and TetriNET 2 websites for St0rmCat; location for the sites are still unknown.  But once done, this site will be no more since everything here will be moved to the new place. ~Kent
Sept 24, 2001 - St0rmCat has updated www.tetrinet2.com again.  He said he will be patching up the game before a new client will be released, and banners will be implemented soon after that.  The server program won't be out for a while, but still in his original plans. ~Kent
